  • Assumption kills

How many times have we seen instances of turmoil and trouble simply because someone choose to assume or conclude about a certain scenario.

The problem about assumption is this… It makes you lose value overtime, also it reduces the integrity of your words, and put you in a problem- positional power.

  • What exactly do you want?

I think what I\’m about to share is universal in category

Habit #2 in The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is: begin with an end in mind.
Law 29 of the 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene(my second recommendation…trust me, this is awesome) says, \”Plan All The Way To The End\”. Here\’s one exerpt from the book that I\’d like to share… It\’s highlighted in the picture below…

    \"\"
    \"\"

Now, Having an exact goal in mind is not a guarantee that you’ll reach it, but I\’m 100% certain that not having an end in mind will take you to the land of \”neverary\”, like the the genie(Will Smith) in Aladdin would say, if he had the chance!
When your efforts are not directed at a specific aim or purpose, how will you know what specifically is needed on your path of growth, development and ultimately, success? How will you know what
(Or who) to say no to and what(or who) to say yes to? How will you know when you’ve reached your goal, or if you’ve gotten off the track, if you’ve never defined what those things are?
The truth is , you can\’t, and that in itself, is a sure way to fail in life. I believe you do not want that.

If you do not, the question is, what exactly do you want?

  • Buying things we can’t afford

You don\’t go into a store with a thousand bucks and an intention to buy a hundred thousand bucks worth of stuff. Doesn\’t work that way.
I just feel that if we take this into our personal lives and look from that lens as well, we\’ll have a lot of more success driven people.
Some of the habits we engage in, if viewed from the lens of our long term goals are way too expensive….like too expensive. If we all can take a look at how these decisions ultimately affect our long term goals, we\’ll take life a lot more seriously.
For an aspiring successful entrepreneur, I can\’t afford to spend more on my parties than on my mind and my mental development. For a success oriented person, you shouldn\’t have to spend regular hours of your time doing stuff of no value…that investment is a long term waste!
I just feel if everyone takes a look at things this way, people would be a lot more intentional.

  • Forgetting What Was

The road to success is very free, but the diversions on the way(that go to failure) are choked up with so many people who think they are on the success lane, but are not.
So many factors are responsible for this, one of which is the fact that very free people are willing to leave the past where it deserves to be-past.
Ever wondered what would happen if every driver on the road begins to focus on the rear view mirror alone? Accidents…loads of them of course!
The past should only be for one purpose, a future reference and proof of your growth and transition into a better person, even as you continue to grow. Think on this.

  • Hardwork is a learned behavior

If you have read the 7 habits of highly effective people by Stephen Covey(if you haven\’t, do check it out. It\’s a classic), there\’s one thing to note, that if those habits are inbuilt, then everyone should be effective naturally. Well, that\’s not the case. The idea of diligence and consistency is not an inbuilt attribute in humans. Generally, we as humans love our comfort zone, and that is the only form of diligence that our bodies are faithful to abide by- the diligence of comfort. Unfortunately, it kills.
Growth, Personal development, and ultimately success is a product of conscious and consistent efforts of self improvement in whatever field you choose for yourself. Talent is good, but skill and competence which are products of hardwork and consistency always Trump talent every time. Start doing something!

\”Hardwork beats talent when talent doesn\’t work hard\”

    Think about that.

  • Life doesn’t give you what you wish for…

Ever thought about the first man to invent paper? About what life gave him? Trees… With probably some extra sides or heart break or family issues or financial problems.I believe that\’s pretty much it. If we take a look at the things we use regularly our are probably addicted to (in a way) now, those seeming amazing things once never existed. Yet by someone\’s sheer force of will and hunger for something better we now have something better. But if we choose to live here and not think of innovation, I believe, it means we have put the worked at is end that way.

  • DESPICABLE ME

So i Decided to start a blog all over from scratch, and I have decided to share a fraction of a thought i penned last Christmas as my first post. Its not the regular thought people think of, just read through to the end, and I\’m sure you\’d love it.

Now I know the title is a bit intriguing this is not the trailer for “Despicable me 4” or something like that, but it’s a piece I do hope you find thrilling, even beyond the movie…

We’ve all felt it, though more times than less we have denied its existence, but we’ve had a feeling that someone else deserves to be hated…

We’ve also been in the shoes of this other person in question, feeling it’s okay to be despised…but the truth is, we never tackle the real issue behind all this…

The average youth has a set of friends, among which he plays one of two roles; a leader and a standard that all or some of the others meet up to, or a follower that  is compelled to live like the former. The problem arises when difference is observed between the two parties. These differences root out the realm of “despicable me”.

The average youth lives the life of 5 other sets of people; parents, favorite celebrity, clique, the current trend, and lastly the society or community he/she belongs to. The problem is, he bases what he deserves on what these people define to be normal; therefore, if they aren’t cool with it, its absurd…

The problem is, this has even crawled down to the way we choose our careers, as well as what we want to do, how we dress, what we listen to, who we talk to, what we read, and ultimately what we become.

For most of us, in this realm, we have made someone else feel despicable just because of how we choose to address their Difference…but it’s all because we have chosen to be someone else. The moment we are able to celebrate and accept ourselves for who we are, and be proud of our differences, we create an atmosphere of love, warmth and creativity for those around us…it’s not what makes us alike that counts…products that you can find just anywhere are not usually expensive…Celebrate your difference, and accept the fact that at the core of your uniqueness, your value surfaces and begins to take shape….

Be glad to be different, because Your difference is your Gold, when mined and refined.

Even as you Celebrate today, Celebrate Difference, and Celebrate Your Difference!!!

Merry Christmas….Do have a Prosperous new year in advance. Stay tuned….peace.
