  • Don’t get angry; Get better…

So you get a job done. You think it\’s amazing, but unfortunately, is just you that thinks that way. Your boss says it sucks. you get critical comments, and now you\’re just getting fumed over everything. Here\’s my question…
What are you going to do about it?
They said the work\’s not good. So what?
They said the jobs not done well. So what?
They probably put you on probation or fired you. So what?

Does getting angry or breaking stuff or staying unhappy solve anything? Of course not!

Regardless of what happened, it doesn\’t mean that you\’re to remain in the category of that comment. Grow bigger than it. Rather than feeling bad, build yourself and work on yourself more, till you become a force in your field.

Like I said earlier, Don\’t get angry; Get better

  • Inherent opinions – The key to effective persuasion

Generally, every person has an opinion of how thier own life is like, and what they feel they actually behave like or what they feel thier strengths are and aren\’t as well as what they feel thier way of life is governed by. The truth is, sometimes they are very wrong, but they\’re still entitled to thier opinion. A lot of people say they are disciplined and yet can\’t do without postponing a thing at least once…but yet, it\’s thier opinion.
The major problem is, when we try to sell products, or persuade people, we do that on the basis of our opinion of ourselves, and eventually fall off the track of persuasion as in most cases, we are uniquely different, and on the cases we win, we probably found people like us.
The key is to understand the idea of marketing and persuasion is engrafted in one sentence I heard from Seth Godin, which is, \”PEOPLE LIKE US DO THINGS LIKE US\”
The idea is to know and understand how people live and make decisions and persuasion will be a byproduct. When you come from the inherent opinions they have of themselves, you lose down that protective guard on thier hearts and give them a run for whatever you say. This, in itself, is an art that only the elite choose to learn.

  • Grow quietly…

Here\’s the thing about growth. The more you continue to grow in life and in your perspective, the more the deficiency of perspective in the life of mediocre people irritate you. This brings about a longing to just tell them the truth, and publicly challenge conventional ideas and orthodox ways, but if you are identified as a person of this habit, then you\’ll make people see you as an attention seeker, plus, not everyone will smile at you making them or thier ideas look inferior. Some may even consider revenge.
The key is, condone these deficiencies when you see them, and stay patient enough for your results to preach your perspective to them. Only share these perspectives with maybe close friends that are probably on the same path as you are. At the point where your results begin to show, you automatically get thier attention, and ultimately, the right to debunk their wrong perspectives publicly.

  • The key to becoming a Superman

What makes certain men more powerful and successful than others on Earth? What makes them different from other regular men? I believe I\’ve gotten the difference; and it\’s engrafted in a quote is like to share by Baltasar Gracian(culled from the 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene):
\”All men are idolaters, some of Fame, others of self interest, most of pleasure\”

These traits are common among all men, or like a native proverb says in my country, \”something must kill a man\”
The key to being successful is not by ignoring your weaknesses, but by embracing then and improving yourself. Build yourself to a point where you seem to lack weaknesses, and you ultimately become the Superman of your domain.

\”The most powerful men in the room are the ones you have no idea of what they need or what they are capable of\”-Joel Toluwalase Oriola

  • Assumption kills

How many times have we seen instances of turmoil and trouble simply because someone choose to assume or conclude about a certain scenario.

The problem about assumption is this… It makes you lose value overtime, also it reduces the integrity of your words, and put you in a problem- positional power.

  • What exactly do you want?

I think what I\’m about to share is universal in category

Habit #2 in The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is: begin with an end in mind.
Law 29 of the 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene(my second recommendation…trust me, this is awesome) says, \”Plan All The Way To The End\”. Here\’s one exerpt from the book that I\’d like to share… It\’s highlighted in the picture below…

    \"\"
    \"\"

Now, Having an exact goal in mind is not a guarantee that you’ll reach it, but I\’m 100% certain that not having an end in mind will take you to the land of \”neverary\”, like the the genie(Will Smith) in Aladdin would say, if he had the chance!
When your efforts are not directed at a specific aim or purpose, how will you know what specifically is needed on your path of growth, development and ultimately, success? How will you know what
(Or who) to say no to and what(or who) to say yes to? How will you know when you’ve reached your goal, or if you’ve gotten off the track, if you’ve never defined what those things are?
The truth is , you can\’t, and that in itself, is a sure way to fail in life. I believe you do not want that.

If you do not, the question is, what exactly do you want?

  • Watch where you\’re headed

I\’m a fan of growth, and I always inspire people to grow and focus… But you know, going far in life is get essential and feels amazing, but can be a disaster it you are on the wrong direction.
To what end is your journey to success if you are taking a road that\’s not yours?
I know you want to go far, fast. But be sure you are going in the right direction, cause, you might just be increasing the distance from where you are to where you should be headed. Purpose is essential. Clarity is even more powerful. Think on this.

  • Buying things we can’t afford

You don\’t go into a store with a thousand bucks and an intention to buy a hundred thousand bucks worth of stuff. Doesn\’t work that way.
I just feel that if we take this into our personal lives and look from that lens as well, we\’ll have a lot of more success driven people.
Some of the habits we engage in, if viewed from the lens of our long term goals are way too expensive….like too expensive. If we all can take a look at how these decisions ultimately affect our long term goals, we\’ll take life a lot more seriously.
For an aspiring successful entrepreneur, I can\’t afford to spend more on my parties than on my mind and my mental development. For a success oriented person, you shouldn\’t have to spend regular hours of your time doing stuff of no value…that investment is a long term waste!
I just feel if everyone takes a look at things this way, people would be a lot more intentional.

  • Forgetting What Was

The road to success is very free, but the diversions on the way(that go to failure) are choked up with so many people who think they are on the success lane, but are not.
So many factors are responsible for this, one of which is the fact that very free people are willing to leave the past where it deserves to be-past.
Ever wondered what would happen if every driver on the road begins to focus on the rear view mirror alone? Accidents…loads of them of course!
The past should only be for one purpose, a future reference and proof of your growth and transition into a better person, even as you continue to grow. Think on this.

  • Don’t Judge yourself. We all have shortcomings

Here\’s the truth about life, everyone is \”not too good\” at something. But even if that\’s not the case, and it\’s not yours, fine. Don\’t beat yourself up about what you aren\’t good at. The thing is, feeling bad about it doesn\’t make things better. The thing is, are you willing to put the work to become an authority in whatever you want to learn?
If you keep on focusing on the parts that aren\’t good enough in your life, you\’ll end up living with a very low self esteem, which by the way, will never make you amount to much in life.
Should you want to know what your strengths are but you\’re having a hard time doing that, my prescription is Strength finder 2.0 by Donald Clifton. Check it out. I\’m sure you\’ll be glad you did, cause it\’s pretty much the most detailed and accurate on I know of. Peace✌️
